Exploitable IE6 Still Top Browser Used
in 2001, Microsoft released Internet Explorer version 6. 5 years later the released version 7 and just recently the released version 8. While there are now two newer FREE versions, as well as many other FREE products from other vendors, the majority of systems still use IE6. Some of the major milestones of the newer browsers are the security elements built into them. Many of these do not exist in IE6 offering the perfect playground for hackers.

The vast majority of data breaches include vulnerability exploit. The best way to reduce your exposure to vulnerability exploit it to upgrade software and apply patches. Organizations that continue to use old software such as IE6…especially when there are better free alternatives…are setting themselves up for trouble.
